Welcome to Kunda Kids
Crafting Stories for Tomorrow's Leaders
Kunda Kids is an award-winning children's EdTech and media company based in London (HQ), Lagos and Kampala. We are a leading provider of global multi-channel media for early learners (0-11 years) aimed at bringing African storytelling to a global audience.
We work with leading experts, from educators to child psychologists, to create culturally rich stories that meet early years learning goals (EYLGs) and primary school curricula while developing essential soft skills such as confidence, communication, emotional intelligence, problem-solving and teamwork.
Our journey began in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, founders Louisa and Dele Olafuyi, a dynamic husband and wife team and new parents, were driven by a vision to transform early education through storytelling to inspire a generation of young global citizens.
Today, Kunda Kids is a name that resonates across 170 countries, with our resources enriching over 400 schools. Our books and digital content have become indispensable tools for educators, a source of joy for parents, and, most importantly, a beacon of inspiration for millions of children around the globe. We're not just loved; we're trusted. We're not just read; we're relied upon to build the future, one story at a time.
What makes a Kunda Kids story?
-
Stories that are fun first.
Research shows that children (and adults!) learn more effectively from experiences that are exciting and joyful and that meaningfully connect the play to their lives.
-
Our focus on Africa.
Kunda Kids intentionally creates stories to improve the lack of representation of African history and culture in children's education, publishing and media.
-
Creatively collaborative.
Kunda Kids stories are a collaborative effort. We engage our community and experts, from teachers and child psychologists, to ensure our stories are best in class.
