Kunda Kids Shines at Heathrow's Black History Month Marketplace

Kunda Kids was proud to exhibit at the Black History Month Marketplace held at Heathrow Airport’s Head Office in London on Wednesday 25 October.

Numerous Heathrow employees dropped by the Kunda Kids stall and engaged with us, expressing unanimous support for our mission to reshape the narrative of representation and cultural diversity in children’s literature and media. Many of them happily purchased books for the little ones in their lives, emphasising the profound impact of stories with diverse characters and inclusive narratives.

Episodes of Kunda & Friends, a music-led preschool animation show launched by Kunda Kids at the O2, London on 29 May, were also showcased. Created by former Disney director Raymond Malinga and a team of vibrant animators based in Kampala, Uganda, the show received consistent praise for its catchy tunes and high-quality animations.

The Black History Month Marketplace was a wonderful celebration of creativity and diversity. We are grateful to Anjali Jashani and Shivani Patel, the indefatigable duo who lead Heathrow's en-haNCE Network, for giving us the opportunity to be part of this enriching occasion.

A toast to many more events that spread joy and light, celebrate diversity and inspire the next generation! 🥂
