We’re thrilled to introduce Kunda & Friends—a joyful new animated series made especially for preschoolers, where learning meets laughter in a vibrant, Afro-inspired world.

Created with love and purpose, Kunda & Friends blends music, culture, and fun-filled storytelling to help children explore big ideas like friendship, empathy, and confidence. With a fresh, modern animation style and an infectious soundtrack inspired by African rhythms, it’s a show made to move, teach, and delight young hearts everywhere.

Why This Matters

Representation in children’s media matters. And yet, too often, African characters and cultures are left out of mainstream animation. When they do appear, they’re usually framed through animals, myths, or fantasy.

Kunda & Friends changes the narrative. Our series imagines a fun and optimistic Afrofuturistic world—joyful and imaginative, but rooted in the real lives of African children. We show family life, friendship, curiosity, and everyday adventures that feel honest, relatable and empowering.

Each episode uses song, storytelling, and play to encourage early learning in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. It’s preschool education—but through a proudly African lens.

Meet the Cast of Characters

At the heart of the show is Kunda, a brave and big-hearted four-year-old who leads his group of friends on exciting adventures.

• Sana loves space, science, and imagination.

• Fela is all about music, rhythm and numbers.

• Ella brings fun and spark to every moment with her playful, carefree energy.

• Leo, the gentle lion, teaches kindness, care, and confidence.

• Thandi fills every scene with movement, colour and joy. Her love of dance and infectious positivity makes her the heartbeat of the group, reminding us all to find happiness in the moment.

Together, they represent the many sides of early childhood and the value of teamwork, creativity, and curiosity.
