Lagos Welcomes Kunda & Friends
On Sunday, 10 December 2023, Lagos witnessed a spectacular celebration of culture, education, and entertainment with the launch of Kunda & Friends. Curated by Kunda Kids, the event marked a groundbreaking moment in reshaping early years education in Nigeria, where awareness of the importance of early childhood experiences remains a growing need.
Kunda & Friends, a 3D children’s animation series, was created to provide wholesome, high-quality content on YouTube Kids, catering to families worldwide. Recognizing the need for preschool shows that celebrate African culture and heritage, Kunda Kids is bridging this gap for children under 5, offering inclusive stories that inspire and educate.
Following its highly successful premieres in London (May) and Nairobi (September), the Lagos event was a vibrant, family-friendly celebration. With four fully booked cinema screenings, parents and children danced and enjoyed the series together. Outside the screenings, the day featured fun activities like face-painting, interactive games, and an exclusive showcase of Kunda Kids' award-winning book collection.
“Kunda & Friends is poised to redefine preschool learning and entertainment for every child. We have a series of impactful launch events taking place all over the world this year; this is just the beginning,” said Oladele Olafuyi, Co-Founder and CEO of Kunda Kids.
